Our beloved brother Ed Partain departed his earthly sojourn |

Edgar Lorenzo Partain, age 70, of Hot Springs, previously of Malvern, died Sunday, April 18, 2010. Born August 19, 1939, to Paralee Nora and Arthur Lorenzo Partain, he grew up in the Waldron area and was the youngest of five children. He was predeceased by his mother and father and two brothers, Lowell Partain and Dale Partain. Ed was a retired insurance agent with Shelter Insurance where he worked with his wife for over thirty years. He was an active member of the Church of Christ and previously served as an elder and deacon of the Church. He was a former member of the Hot Springs Barbershop singers and he loved to fish and travel. His life was full of great friendships and loving service to others. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Genevia of Hot Springs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathryn and Clayton Ritchie of Farmersville, Texas, and Cecelia and Fred Hawthorn, and Lenora and Bruce Gaston all of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; one sister, Robbie Partain of Tippin, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Ardell and Ruby Partain of Hempstead, Texas; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral services will be held at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at 2:00 PM. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Joshua Ritchie, Edward Ritchie, Kyle Hawthorn, Drew Hawthorn, Bret Gaston, Grant Gaston, and Logan Gaston. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs. Visitation will be at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Guest registry is at http://www.davis-smith.com/

CLIPPING FOR SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN HOME |

The church is collecting the UPC bar codes plus logos from participating Campbell's product
labels (http://www.labelsforeducation.com/default.aspx). We are also clipping the coupons "boxtops4education" (http://www.boxtops4education.com/) valued at 10 cents each from several brand name products' box tops.
These collections will go to benefit Southern Christian Home (http://www.schome.org/newsite/index.shtml), a Christian children's home in Morrilton, AR. Containers for these collections are located in the foyer with lists of the various products from which the coupons and bar codes may be clipped.
